On Monday, October 18, we will observe a "Day of Prayer and Fasting" during which members of the congregation will unite for 10 hours of prayer, worship, reflection, celebration and fasting.
As part of the day's activities, participants will have an opportunity to visit a 1/3 scale replica of the Western Wall in Jerusalem. Similar to the wall in Israel, visitors may write their prayer requests on pieces of paper and place their requests in the "cracks" of the wall. Though they will remain unseen, a church pastor will pray for the requests placed here.
Throughout the day, prayer participants will be encouraged to pray for the city of Los Angeles, our country, for peace in Israel and for world events. Missionaries from around the world will also be represented to encourage awareness of their efforts in both local and far reaches of the world.
The Day of Prayer and Fasting will run from 8 am to 6 pm
