Special Events
To reach the lost in Porter Ranch and throughout the San Fernando Valley, Shepherd of the Hills believes we need to meet peoples’ needs that are not getting met in the world in which they live. One of the most important needs, we believe, is a longing to be loved and be an accepted part of a community, where families support one another and thrive. Special events are one of the many valuable tools Shepherd uses to meet this need. It is our prayer that by fostering a healthy and safe environment where families thrive, we create a space where the truth of the Gospel can be heard and received, and where people are blessed and free from distractions.
The following are the areas where you can get involved in this vibrant and vital ministry at Shepherd:
Administrative Support- Come in during weekdays and help meet the administrative needs of this ministry.
Set Construction & Special Projects- Sign-up for special projects where your skills can be utilized.
Decorating- Join the team who sets up all the beautiful decorations for events.
Greeting- Provide guests with warm welcomes and information as they arrive.
Hospitality- Help coordinate the supply of food, beverages, and other amenities for the guests.
Parking- Assist First Touch Ministry during special events.
Ushering- Provide guests with guidance and information.
Security- Provide protection for the guests and the building(s).
