COMMUNION MINISTRY

SERMON RESEARCH TEAM (SRT)
The Sermon Research Team gathers information pertinent to the sermons given by Pastor Dudley.  Collecting of statistics, illustrations, articles and news items. EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM (ERT)
If you are a health care professional who would like to use your gifts and talents to keep Shepherd attendees safe during weekend services and/or special events, join the ER Team!  Members carry a pager during services and special events, provide first aid and make first response decisions regarding the need to call 911.  Contact: Jane Kasel at x. 116 or jkasel@theshepherd.org.

GREETING

RECEPTION DESK
Do you have a friendly voice and enjoy talking with people?  The reception desk here at Shepherd is looking for volunteers to answer the phones during special events including Passion Play, Easter, 4th of July and Christmas.  Training will be provided.  Contact: Cecelia Richardson at x. 101 or crichardson@theshepherd.org.

SECURITY
Aid our Security Team in keeping our grounds safe for all worship services and events.  Contact: Pastor Rick Kasel at x. 435 or rkasel@theshepherd.org.

USHERS
Be available for guests and members during our worship services to help them find a seat, then to serve them communion and receive tithes and offerings.  Contact: Pastor Rick Kasel at x. 435 or rkasel@theshepherd.org.

WORSHIP BULLETIN PREPARATION
Assist with stuffing the weekly church service bulletins. This ministry requires approximately two hours on Friday mornings.  Contact: Jim Kolberg at (818) 360-2612 or granadajim1@netzero.com.

CALL ON JESUS
Call On Jesus is the preaching and teaching ministry of Pastor Dudley C. Rutherford. All of Pastor Dudley's messages are available on CD and can be mailed to any address in the world. CDs are available at the Call on Jesus desk adjacent to the lobby at all worship services. Help duplicate and/or sell sermon CDs during weekend services and special events. HOSPITALITY (COFFEE & DONUTS)

INFORMATION CENTER
Are you new to Shepherd or just looking for some information?  Visit the Information Center in the main lobby where we can assist you with any of your questions!  Get involved by being available to assist guests and members during our worship services and/or special events with information, material, and directions.  Contact: Kay Norris at x. 225 or knorris@theshepherd.org

LOST & FOUND
Lost and Found is located at the Information Center in the main lobby.  To inquire about or pick up an item during the weekend, please visit the Information Center.  To inquire about or pick up an item during the week, please visit the reception desk in the main office.  Lost items are held for three months.  Please contact the church receptionist at (818) 831-9333.

PRAISES BOOKSTORE
Praises offers a large selection of Bibles, books, music, movies, jewelry, home items, gifts and more!  Praises is located on the northeast corner of the Family Life Center.  For current bookstore hours, please call the church office or see the sign on the front door.  Praises is looking for friendly people to volunteer in the bookstore for a weekend worship service, during the week and/or for special events.  Knowledge of popular Christian books, authors and music artists is helpful but not required.  Contact: Elizabeth Wozniak at x. 147 or info@praisesbooks.com.

PARK & PRAISE SHUTTLE
The Park & Praise Shuttle runs every Sunday from 8:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and every Saturday from 4:30-7:30 p.m.  You can board the shuttle across the street at the Porter Ranch Town Center between Souplantation and JoAnn’s.  Why should you ride the shuttle?  It saves space for a first-time visitor, you avoid gridlock, and you get car-to-curb service!  You also get a coupon every time you ride the Park & Praise.  Collect ten coupons and receive a gift certificate, redeemable at the Information Center.  Get involved by driving members and guests to and from their cars before and after our worship services.
