KidStreet Family Theatre
From energetic worship songs, comic hosts, KidStreet characters’ conflicts, and the Virtue of the month, to bible stories, fun multi-media, virtue KidToons, and the resolution of the KidStreet skits, KidStreet gives parents tools to talk with your kids in an exciting Theatre presentation for the whole family every Saturday night at 5:00 p.m.!

KidTown
KidTown combines group worship, prayer and Bible story time, and small group time in a classroom setting for children kindergarten through 5th grade.  This is a place where children learn to relate with their peers as they continue to explore in more concrete and interactive ways the virtues presented in KidStreet! 

X-treme Kidz Junior Church Service
This contemporary church service is packed full of high energy worship, creative Bible lessons and wise choice skits focused on the monthly virtue.  All this is presented in an exciting and interactive, kid-relevant atmosphere!

Sunday Bible Classes
These are our awesome grade-level Bible classes where children learn through fun activities, crafts, and group teaching times.  This traditional class environment is great for kids needing more teacher interaction.

Divorce Care 4 Kids (DC4K)
We have classes, with trained leaders, designed to help kids understand and cope with the struggles and emotions of divorce.  This provides kids (3rd grade – high school) the opportunity to fellowship and know that they are not alone in their experiences. Son Rays
Kids, ages 4-12 years with special needs, enjoy this class time with qualified adults who have a heart specifically for them. Please contact Jeanette at x266 for more information.

Prayer Class
Children learn the power of prayer, how to pray, and why prayer is so important.  This 6-8 week class is offered at different times during the year.  For more information, please contact Monica at ext. 217.

Praise Team / Praise Team Practice
Praise Team kids assist in leading worship during Junior Church services.  Our worship consists of exciting choreography and hand motions.  Practices for Praise Team are held on Wednesdays, and are required for participation with the team on Sundays.  If your child is interested in joining or you would like more information, please contact Monica at ext. 217.

Kids of the Kingdom (K.O.K.)
K.O.K. is the children’s choir.  These kids hold musical performances each winter and spring.  If your child is interested in joining, or if you would like more information, please contact Angie at ext. 252.

Sonbeam Singers: This is our younger choir that consists of 4 year olds - Kindergarten.  They perform twice a year and meet on Wednesday nights. For more information, please contact Angie Johnston at ajohnston@theshepherd.org, or ext. 252.

Summer Spectacular (formerly Vacation Bible School): Join us along with special guests Dean-o and the Dynamos as we take a week long adventure on “Salvation Speedway” digging deep into the treasures of God’s Word. This event is for children entering Kindergarten through 5th grade. If you would like to participate please complete a registration form and waiver form and return to the Children’s Ministry at Shepherd of the Hills. ”Jump & Splash Children’s Baptism Class”: This class is for all children who have the desire to be baptized and their parents.  Pastor Mike and Ms. Lucille explain what “salvation” is, and then talk about what it means to be baptized and why we are to be baptized.  This class is offered approximately twice a year, and we only ask that at least one parent attend the class with your child. Children’s Baptism Birthday Celebration: This is a time for parents, friends, and relatives to get together and participate in the celebration of each child as they make their commitment into the family of our Lord Christ Jesus.  This evening will include birthday cake, balloons, music and gifts; each child will receive a “Birth Certificate” after their baptism.  Qualification for each child participating in this event – they MUST have attended the “Jump & Splash Children’s Baptism Class” first. Parent/Baby Dedication: Shepherd prepares a special service for parents and their babies every year.  This is an opportunity to have the family prayed over and the child(ren) presented to the Lord.  The Parent/Baby Dedication is held annually in the spring.  The event will be publicized about 6 weeks prior.  Please check the Shepherd site under "Upcoming Events" and in the church bulletin in the spring.

Basketball Camp: Kindergartners through 8th graders gather for a week of skill and devotion, as we learn how to be real team players, in life and on the court. For more information, please contact Erin McGrath @ emcgrath@theshepherd.org, or ext. 234.

Hallelujah Harvest: Life is scary enough, so we put together a carnival-like atmosphere that provides a safe alternative to Halloween.  This is an entire evening devoted to family fun. Non-scary costumes are welcome! Interested in blessing our community by serving at this event, please print out the attached volunteer sign-up form and return it to the Information Center in the Lobby or to the Children’s Ministry. Winter Camp: Camp is a time for our 4th – 5th graders to spend quality and spiritually filled time in God’s country.  There will be time of worship, bible study, devotional, and of course free time.  This time will promise to be a life changing experience as children get a chance to leave their daily distractions and completely focus on God!
