What is Signature of Jesus?

We each have our own unique fingerprint, autograph, eyes, laugh, and DNA. These are just a few of the things that make up and tell others who we are.  As Christians, a huge part of our identity is the signature that is written upon our hearts—the legacy, life, and love of Jesus Christ.  But how do we allow this special signature to shine forth from our hearts and tell others who Jesus is?    

Each year at Shepherd of the Hills Church, Pastor Dudley comes up with a theme for the whole year.  For 2008, it was heavy on his heart to name the theme “Signature of Jesus” to inspire the church to find ways to make known the name of Jesus—and the signature of salvation and love He has placed upon us—in the community, and in the world.  The entire year’s sermon messages and LIFE! Groups series will center on this special theme that focuses on the person, power, parables, passion, preaching, and prophecies of Jesus.

To put this theme into action, we have come up with three ways for you to get involved:

• Signature Project – LIFE! Groups at Shepherd of the Hills partnering together to radically bless a person or family in need in the name of the Lord. Check out Signature Project Stories by clicking here.
• Community Days – Outreach events to bless local schools and businesses with graffiti removal, cleaning, trash removal, etc.

• Cross Stories – Show you are not ashamed of the cross by finding creative ways to display this symbol of God’s great love and sacrifice, and tell us about it!
