National Foster & Adopt Month

Shepherd is proud to recognize May as National Foster & Adopt Month

We invite you to consider ways you can be serving these families & children! Did you know that at least 50% of people experiencing homelessness, and 75% of people incarcerated, are individuals who spent time in our foster system? Right now this system is filled with destruction, but we know that Jesus loves these children and has plans for their restoration.

Here are ways you can get involved!

Join Care Portal:

Shepherd partners with this organization through Go Teams. Their mission is to fulfill needs of families in dire situations so that the children are not removed and placed in the foster system. By signing up at the link below, you will begin to receive updates on local family needs, and you will be able to supply those needs with either a financial gift or material goods. Common needs are; beds for kids to sleep on, school supplies, refrigerators (this helps prevent food insecurity), and help with bills.
